food photography - sandwich

Big Town Hero boasts a number of stores throughout Oregon and has developed a reputation for excellence among its extremely loyal customer base. I had the pleasure of working with Chris Ryan to develop a number of shots for their website campaign. Man, they are some seriously good sandwiches!

One of the biggest challenges with this kind of food photography is the fact that the sandwiches were all shot with their actual ingredients. Typically, photographers use a variety of techniques to make the food look better and more vibrant by using props, paint, glue, hairspray, and a number of other “tricks” to really make the food look perfect. Although more challenging to pull off, I think Chris and our team did an amazing job with these au naturale subjects!

Check out their website and don’t hold it against me if you suddenly crave Big Town Heroes…
